Thistle Cluster Crochet Stitch Pattern

I made this for Warm Up America which is why this measures 9 inches in width. Gauge listed below. To give you an idea of this pattern  Row 2 is made up of a Cluster V stitch and in Row 3 you will be doing  a group of 3dc's in the Chain 2 spaces of the Cluster V stitch.

This stitch pattern can be used for a WIDE variety of items like blankets, scarfs, neckwarmers and anything else you can think of :)

Stitch Pattern: Thistle Cluster Stitch
Yarn: Caron 1 Pound yarn

Chain: / Size / Hook Size / Gauge:  Multiple of 4 + 3 chains needed
Chain 35 with H Hook for 9 inch width = 3.88 sts per inch and 1.4 rows per inch

Rows: 10 rows = 7 inches
Abbreviations: 
dc = Double Crochet
ch = Chain
Cluster = It is a 2dc Cluster.
YO, Insert Hook into stitch, YO, Pull through, YO pull through 2 loops only (2 left on hook)
YO, Insert Hook into same stitch, YO, Pull through, YO pull through 2 loops, YO pull
through all 3 loops
* - Repeat the instructions between the asterisks 
TCH = Turning Chain

PATTERN:
Multiple of 4 + 3 chains needed

Row 1: 1dc in 4th chain from hook (counts as first dc), * Ch1, Skip 1, 1dc in each of next 3sts *
repeat end last repeat with 1dc in each of the last 4 chains

Row 2: ch 3 (always counts as 1st dc), Skip the next dc, Do (Cluster, ch2, Cluster) in next. For remainder of pattern do (Cluster, ch2, Cluster) in each middle DC across the row.
To finish Do 1dc in TCH

Row 3: ch 3, do 3DC in each ch2 space across row. End with 1dc in TCH.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 for the remainder of your pattern
