Again, the video can be found at https://youtu.be/zqbVSAYSeSY

If you want to crochet more rows just do the same as you've been doing on Rows 3 and 4. For every row you will have 1 extra chain 1 space on each side of the hexagon. So just do a Cluster then Chain 3 in each one.

Crochet Video Tutorial: Hexagon Granny Square (traditional style)

My new Video: https://youtu.be/O0ikfaI6NOg

This is my new video. Learn how to do a Traditional style Hexagon Granny Square. If you've done a Traditional Granny Square then this will be very familiar.

At the beginning of each row you will slip stitch to the next chain 1 space. It's only 1 slip stitch, not multiple. You don't have far to go. The reason you do this is because you want your corners to be nice a crisp.  If you want to change yarns just start in any chain 1 space.

Chain 5 and join
Size: 5 rows is 7 inches
Hook: H/8/5.0mm (6 U.K.)

Abbreviations:
DC - Double Crochet
ch - chain
Corner - (2dc,ch1,2dc) ch1

Round 1:
Chain 3, Do 1dc in ring, chain 1, (2dc ch1) in ring 5 times more . Join in the top of the beginning chain 3

Round 2: Slip st to next chain 1 space.  Ch 3, Do (DC, ch1, 2dc) in same space
Ch 1. Do (2dc, ch1, 2dc, ch1) in each chain 1 space.
Join in the top of the beginning chain 3

Round 3Slip st to next chain 1 space
ch3, (DC,ch1,2dc) in same space, Chain 1, 2dc in next ch1sp, chain 1,
*(2dc, ch1,2dc) ch1 in next ch1sp. 2dc in next ch1sp, ch1*
Join in the top of the beginning chain 3

Round 4Slip st to next chain 1 space
ch3, (DC, ch1, 2dc) in same space, chain 1, (2dc in next ch1sp,ch1)x2
*Do (2dc, ch1, 2dc)ch 1 in next ch1space. Do (2dc in next ch1 sp, ch1) twice*
Join in the top of the beginning chain 3

Continue on if you wish. For every extra row you will have 1 more chain-1-space on each side of the Hexagon.
