Crochet Video tutorial: All Crochet Puff Stitch Granny Square

My Crochet Puff Stitch Granny Square

Get pattern here

This is a Granny Square made with Puff Stitches. It creates a thick granny square so it's great for Pet blankets which, for now, is the reason for these. Pillows would also be a great idea for making them. They're also unusually quick. I thought it would take longer then, say, a Traditional Granny Square.

There are 2 patterns below. The first is for the Solid colored granny square and the other is if you want to change yarn every row.
How to do the Puff St: [YO, insert hook into next st, YO and pull through ]3 times…YO and pull through all 7 loops. (for a larger puff you can do 9 loops)

For those of you who are familiar with the Puff stitch there is always a chain 1 done after it, to secure it.  It's included in the instructions. You don't have to worry about remembering to do it.

The Yardage for Worsted Weight yarn:
If you do a 5 Row Puff Granny Square = 110 feet total = 37 yards used

If you do a 6 Row Puff Granny Square = 139 feet total = 46 yards used

If you do a 7 Row Puff Granny Square = 172 feet total = 57 ½ yards used

If you do a 8 Row Puff Granny Square = 208 feet total = 70 yards used
If you do a 10 Row Puff Granny Square = 292 feet total = 97 yards used

Skill Level: Beginner, because you are going into chain spaces not into a stitch.

Abbreviations:
* = Repeat in between instructions them
Corner = Do (1 Puff st, ch3, 1 Puff st) in the next ch3-space
ch-1 space or ch-3 space = refers to an actual space made from a previous row
ch1 = need to chain 1
