Crochet Video Tutorial: learn how to Crochet the Cobble Stitch

Aligned Cobble Stitch

Videohttp://youtu.be/HujWOMT38n8
This is the Cobble Stitch. It's a very easy pattern to try. It almost looks like a Bobble stitch but easier if you are a beginner. I like this one better.

I added 2 photos so you could see what it looks like. It's created by alternating a Single Crochet with a Triple (Trebel) stitch. The TC strikes out because the SC is much shorter.

Size: 5 inches by 5 inches
Gauge: 3.2 stitch per inch and 3 rows per inch.
Hook: I
Chain 16
Experience: Beginner

Stitches Used:
TR – Triple Crochet
SC– Single Crochet

Abbreviations:
  • * - *: repeat the instructions between them
  • sts: stitches
Pattern:
Multiple of 2 chains needed
Chain 16

Row 1: Do 1 sc in the 2nd chain from the hook. Do 1 sc in each stitch across the row
(25sc made)

Row 2: ch1 and turn. Do 1sc in the next stitch. *Do 1tr in next stitch, do 1 sc in next st.*
repeat * - * (25 sts made)

Row 3: ch1, Do 1 sc in each stitch across the row. (25 sc's made)

Thanks for visiting. Feel free to follow the links below.

  2. You had stated to chain 16 (even number of chains), in Row 2, you have total of 25 chains after you turn your work, should it be 15 chains instead of 25?

  3. Your instructions say to chain 16, then to do 1 sc in each stitch across, then it says "(25sc made)." I think that should be (15sc made).
