Crochet Solid Shell Pattern and Video

I finally found a Crocheted Solid Shell pattern that works. This is a great pattern to try if you haven't already. Great for any beginner crocheter. The solid shells are anchored by a single crochet that is done in-between them.

Skill Level: Beginner
Hook Size: I
Gauge: ¾ row per inch and 3 ¼ sts per inch
              or 0.75 rows per inch and 3.25 sts per inch

Size: 8 inches wide by 3 1/4th inches tall

Abbreviations 
* = Repeat instructions between the astericks
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
Shell = 5DC's (corrected 5/31)


Pattern
You need a multiple of 6 + 2 chains
chain 26
Row 1: Sc across row

Row 2: ch3, 2dc in same stitch as the chain 3,*skip 2, 1 Shell in next stitch, skip 2, 1 sc in the next* end last repeat with 3dc in last sc

Row 3: ch3, 2dc in same st as the chain 3, *1sc in the center of the next shell, skip 2, 1 Shell in the next stitch, skip 2 * end last repeat with 1sc in TCH

Repeat rows 2 and 3 as needed for your pattern
