NOTES:
**All the information for my original pattern (All Half Triple Crochets) is below. But someone asked to have it written with all Double Crochets so that is at the very very end of this post.

This is a very
elegant lacy shell scarf which is very very easy to make. Easy enough
for a beginner. After row 4 you won't even need the instructions which I love. You repeat row 3 for the pattern.
The only stitch you
are doing is a Half Triple Crochet (HTR). You do
a Half Triple Crochet Shell and a Single Half Triple Crochet . As you go throughout the pattern all
you do is build a Shell stitch in the Shell from the previous row and do a Single HTR on top
of the other single HTR's from the previous row.
IF you need a photo tutorial it can be found after downloading the PDF. Written pat is below.

Thank you for such a pretty pattern!!! When I get this finished I will let you know.
ReplyDeleteI really like how soft and lacey this scarf is...Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHello and thank you for sharing this. Have saved it to my favorites.
ReplyDeleteRegards.
how do you finish it so that you have the same # of htc?
ReplyDeleteIn regards to finishing with the same # of HDC stitches.....as long as you can complete the row in pattern the number of sts isn't important. There are times when I'm not paying attention to what i'm doing and I will do 1 stitch less in the "shell" sts. But it's fine, as long as you can complete the [*1 Shell and 1HDC] pattern your fine. If you have any other questions you can email me heatherg23@aol.com
ReplyDeleteI'm going crazy looking for more of Loops & Threads yarn in True Blue which has gone on closeout. Do you have any for sale or know where I might try??
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a lovely scarf pattern! I have wanted to try this type pattern! Now, I just need to wait for cooler weather (if we ever get any down here!) or crank the A/C down to 60!
ReplyDeleteconfuseing u need to make it were a 10 year old nos wat it means i dont no wat it means and im 10
ReplyDeleteSince you are 10, you also need to learn to spell.....just saying.
DeleteAsk an adult to help you with the pattern. Follow the pattern she offers on this site.
DeleteThank you for this lovely pattern . I see though you have a different number of beginning stitches. The pattern I have is for a starting chain of 26. do I still go into the 4th ch for beginning shell ?
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteAn external website linked to an old PDF when they should have linked to the blog post. That way if there are changes you can get an updated one. I've asked them to change that. The beginning chain is 22. Add or subtract in multiple of 6 to increase or decrease. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks!
so when I get to the end how do I do the pattern on the very first base row don't we need that for the other end of the scarf?
ReplyDeleteYes, you do an row of HTR's if you'd like to. I did I like symmetry. Do 1htr in each htr and ch2sp. to the end of the row. :)
ReplyDeleteHeather
