Alternative Bobble Rectangle


Very simple bobble pattern along with single crochets. Great for a beginner crocheter. It measures 9 x 6 inches. I used a K size hook. Chain 25 only. I used Red Heart yarn.

HOW TO MAKE A CROCHET BOBBLE
  • YO, insert hook into next stitch, pull through, YO, Pull through 2 loops
  • YO, insert hook (in same stitch), YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through two loops (3 loops on hook)
  • YO, insert hook (in same stitch), YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through two loops (4 loops on hook)
  • YO, insert hook (in same stitch), YO, pull up a loop, YO, pull through two loopsYO pull through all 5 loops
Stitches Used:                                                                                                                                                               *Single Crochets,
*MB= Make Bobble (4 open ended Double Crochets)
Gauge:2.77 stitches and 3.16 rows per inch. I like to give you the exact gauge so you can decide to round up or down.

PATTERN: Chain 25 w/ Hook K
Foundation Row: 1sc into second chain from hook and in each stitch across the row (24 sc)



Rows 1,2,3: Chain 1, 1sc into each stitch across the row
Row 4: Chain 1, 1sc into each of the next 3 stitches, [MB, 1sc into each of the next 5 stitches]x3, MB, 1sc into each of the next 2 stitches
Row 5,6,7: Chain 1, 1sc into each stitch across the row
Row 8: Chain 1, 1sc into each of the next 6 stitches [MB, 1sc into each of the next 5 stitches]x3, MB, 1sc into each of the next 5 stitches
Repeat rows 1-8 for the pattern
